Sorry not much time so just pictures today.
That one sentence is all we got from Garrett in an email but we did get to talk to him for a couple of hours so that was fun. He is in Zaragoza, Spain. He is in an apartment with 2 companionships. His companion is Italian and has been out for 22 months. He speaks English as well as Spanish so hopefully Garrett will learn from him. There is an Elder Lamborn in the other companionship that is from Logan, Utah and we discovered that Tony has been riding motorcycles with his dad before so that was a fun small world moment.
Garrett says every thing in Zaragoza seems so much smaller. I'm sure he can't mean the buildings, because they have some huge buildings, but he is probably referring to the open spaces. Zaragoza is the 5th most populated city in Spain with a population of about 675,000 so that is a little more crowded than anywhere he has ever been.
He says so far he has had some pretty good food and kept talking about these amazing tacos he had at a members house. He says everything in Spain runs on a later time schedule so they get to sleep until 7AM and stay up until 11PM. They don't eat lunch until about 2:00 and dinner is at 9:00 with lunch being the larger meal. I kind of like that idea and may adopt it for myself :-)
Transportation is all walking and buses so he is learning how to get around in a big city. All of their contacting is done through social media, referrals, and in the streets. He says he really likes talking to people and just wishes he could communicate better but that will come with time.
