¡Ups! los siento. (Oops, sorry)

 Letter from May 29, 2023

weeell, it has been a while since I have written an email but here we are friends. I am still livimg it up here in lleida but in a couple pf days we will recieve tranfer new and we will find out if I am going to stay or not. This past week Lleida got a car so now we are one of the very few areas in this mission that have a car and that has been awesome so we can visit members and friends that live in the small towns outside of Lleida. 

oh madre mia (my mother) I do not think that i have written an email about this but we had my first babtism the other week. It was such an awesome expirience to be able to find her basically and teach her all the way through. Her name is margarita and she moved here from columbia not too long ago and happened to move into an apartment with a member and a really strong member too. basically consciences don't happen and now margarita is one of those members that are super strong.

for my birthday we went to a columbian restaurant and ate bandeja paisa y (paisa tray and)  it is a very large plate of food, gotcha beens, hamburger meet, fancy banana, pork (I think) rice. but ya that was pretty cool

other than that we are still grinding it out here in the streets chatting it up, looking for the people that want to listen.

***Side not from Mom: Garrett is loving his mission. He wishes there were more outdoor activities he could do but at least he stays busy with missionary stuff. I also want to apologize to any grammar nuts like myself, I leave Garrett's letters exactly as he wrote them and it kills me not to edit the grammar. His Spanish seems to be getting a lot better but his English is worse. For now we'll take that trade ;-)***

- # aint no language barrier here. quick side story about books of mormon in different languages. the other day we gave a book of mormon away in persian and i think that is pretty cool but don't know why. wierd language book of mormon that i have a picture of is in twi which is a laguange that they speak in ghana.
